UC Santa Barbara staff have worked to design an elite high school camp that will prepare the highly motivated goalkeepers for the tactical demands and elite technical skills necessary for players that aspire to play at the top level of the game.

The curriculum is designed for goalkeepers interested in reaching the highest level of the game. Designed and led by the Santa Barbara Soccer Camp Goalkeeping Director, The Goalkeeping Academy is a specialized developmental curriculum that focuses on areas such as shot-stopping, dealing with crosses, game management, distribution and goalkeeper specific strength and agility exercises.
The Goalkeeping Academy is a dedicated training school for just Goalkeepers. The introduction of ‘The Goalkeeping Academy’ will provide access to a proven, world-class curriculum. This academy will propel the position of Goalkeeper and the sport of soccer to new heights. The school will develop high level goalkeepers that can grow to play at the high school, collegiate or professional level, as well as to build well-rounded student athletes. Our proven, modern-day approach to goalkeeping encourages athletes to exceed their goals by embracing daily challenges on the field, in the classroom, and during competition.
The Curriculum will include topics such as; Footwork, Handling, Angle Shots, Distribution, Communication, Collapse Diving and Extension Diving and dealing with Crosses. In addition, class- room sessions on Video Analysis, Psychology of Goalkeeping, Building Confidence, Decision Making, Reading the game and Set pieces will provide an enhanced learning environment.
Learn leadership, discipline, respect, teamwork all while challenged with the cutting edge technical and tactical demands of the goalkeeping position.
