Goalkeeper Academy
The Santa Barbara Goalkeeper Academy is designed for goalkeepers who aspire to play at the collegiate level. The camp is a highly competitive environment incorporated with top field players. The training sessions will stress positional play, advanced goalkeeping team tactics as well as technical and functional training in goal. Classroom sessions will focus on the psychology of goalkeeping, tactical understanding of positional play and the art of organizing your back line. Daily demonstrations will be performed by current members of the UCSB Men's Soccer goalkeepers and alumni and led by top college coaches. This program is designed for players only, who are already proficient in the fundamentals of goalkeeping.
Players will be divided into teams throughout the week and will compete in our own version of the World Cup Tournament.
