2011 marks the third annual UCSB
Winter College ID Camp on the campus of the University
of California, Santa Barbara. The Camp features the
entire staff of the 2004 NCAA National Finalists &
2006 NCAA National Champions Men's Soccer team. This
two-day event is designed for advanced player development
and exposure to the top college coaches. The camp
is an ideal setting for players who have aspirations
of playing collegiate soccer at the top level.
Players will receive first hand
experience of UCSB Harder Stadium, the site of the
2010 COLLEGE CUP, and the #1 crowds in the country!
The daily program will incorporate a campus tour and
evening classroom sessions on NCAA recruitment and
competition.
The focus of all activities will
be learning to compete at the collegiate level through
competitive training and play. Enrollment in the camp
is open to all players but will be limited to only
125 campers to allow individual attention for each
player from the staff of college coaches. A combination
of competitive training sessions and full 11 vs. 11
games will be at the core of the camp curriculum.
There will be only two ID Camps per
year in addition to our two week long Elite Camps
in the summer; the placement into each session will
be at the discretion of the camp staff. The ID Camp
is two days in duration beginning on Saturday at 9am
and finishing Sunday afternoon by 4pm.
Who Can Attend?
Camp is open to boys ages 14 and up. Field players
and goalkeepers are welcome, however, goalkeeper slots
are very limited and will fill up quickly. Because
of the nature of this camp, activities are designed
and the focus will be on high-level soccer players.
